The loading screen never ends. Solve bizarre challenges, survive fake system failures, defeat corrupted software, and uncover the truth behind a self-aware progress bar in this meta-comedy puzzle adventure.
You were told to wait.
That was a lie.
You Are The Loading Screen is a surreal comedy puzzle adventure where a broken loading screen slowly unravels into an absurd journey through corrupted software, fake operating systems, impossible CAPTCHAs, retro arcade games, and self-aware progress bars.
What starts as a simple loading screen quickly becomes something much stranger.
Wiggle your mouse to "increase loading speed." Survive fake Blue Screens of Death. Close endless pop-up ads. Help a server hamster keep the internet alive. Pass nonsensical verification tests. Refuse aggressive microtransactions. Repair corrupted save files. Navigate system failures that may or may not exist.
And when you finally reach 100%...
the game is only getting started.
Progress beyond the impossible limit as the loading system becomes self-aware and begins fighting back. Every percentage point uncovers new challenges, hidden jokes, unexpected mechanics, and increasingly ridiculous attempts to prevent you from ever reaching the end.
What begins at 0% expands into a massive journey that pushes far beyond 100%.
Each layer introduces new mechanics and surprises:
Take a break from waiting with a collection of classic-inspired arcade games featuring:
Face a giant corrupted loading monster in a retro arcade boss battle filled with bullet hell attacks, system corruption, and one final 99% surprise.
Read tooltips. Inspect error messages. Question every button.
The obvious solution is rarely the correct one.
The game constantly reacts to your actions, mistakes, impatience, curiosity, and willingness to trust suspicious software.
Packed with hidden jokes, secrets, fake systems, optional interactions, achievements, and unexpected discoveries.
This game contains:
Nothing dangerous ever happens to your computer.
Probably.
The loading bar says the game is almost ready.
It's lying.
