Void Soul Awakening is a hyper fast action roguelite. As a wandering soul granted the power to escape a cosmic prison, you must battle through chaotic monstrosities using all kinds of weapons. Harness transformative abilities to survive the shifting gauntlet and defeat its ruler, the Keeper.

You play as a wandering soul discarded within an ever-shifting cosmic prison. Your existence is a blank slate until a mysterious woman grants you an immortal body and a singular, absolute command: escape the prison and defeat the entity that rules the prison, the Keeper. Armed with newfound power, you must fight through the distorted architecture of this realm, facing the monstrosities born from the prison's very walls.

As you descend deeper into the shifting layers, the world begins to reveal itself. You aren't just fighting for survival; you are beginning to learn the chilling truth behind the woman’s motives, the Keeper’s true identity, and the reality of why you exist. Every victory peels back the mystery of what this realm was truly meant to contain and why you were the one given the strength to break it.

Hybrid gameplay of shooter and Hack & Slash

The Soul Overload Loop: Using firearms and sorceries rapidly builds up harmful energy. Once you reach a state of Overload, your long range arsenal "jams," forcing you to dive into risky melee combat to dispel the surge and restore balance to your weaponry.
Forward Momentum Combat: Survival in the Abyssal Cube is earned through constant engagement. You must stay in the face of the enemy to keep your energy flowing; passivity is a death sentence that leads to stalled abilities and eventual defeat.
Lucid Surges & Transformations: Maintaining high combat momentum triggers a Lucid Surge, a state of heightened power. This grants access to devastating Lucid Weapons powerful finishers and transformations based on your chosen Echoes that can finish off the most formidable foes.
Boss-Driven Progression & Echoes: Defeating over 30 hand crafted bosses, such as Wardens and Archons, rewards you with Echoes. These fragments of power grant transformative abilities and combat modifiers, which you can swap on the fly via a radial wheel to adapt to escalating threats.
