Story Mode

Play as Rachel Simmons, a police officer with a tragic past in Clear County. A hiker has gone missing on the North Ridge Loop, and you have been called out to search for them. Arrive on the scene and begin walking the trail, keeping an eye out for any signs of the missing hiker while you try to shake the feeling that you're being... watched.

Discover and collect items along the trail. Inspect them to help uncover what happened to the missing hiker, and gather any clues as to their whereabouts. Use the information you have gathered to solve puzzles and advance through the story. Can you uncover what happened to the missing hiker, or will your picture join theirs in the missing persons bulletin?

Nightmare Mode

In Nightmare Mode, you find yourself in the depths of a procedurally generated level. Find evidence and other useful items to help you escape while avoiding the horrors within. Play in:

• The Old Manor: Blood streaks and the eerie creaks of old floorboards are not the only inhabitants of this manor. As you explore the manor a question arises: what happened to the people who lived here?
• Asylum: A labyrinth of corridors and small rooms. The abundance of rooms provides the player with many opportunities to run into loot or get lost and meet an unfortunate end.
• Abandoned Factory: This factory still creaks and rumbles although production here ceased decades ago. Large rooms make finding your way around easier, but leave you exposed to stalking eyes.
• The Lab: Whatever diabolical experiments took place here still haunt this area. Take care not to get lost, you may encounter whatever the scientists here were experimenting on.

Use items you find to unlock new areas, solve puzzles and uncover clues. Escape and survive the horrors within, gather enough evidence to gain reputation and unlock new levels. Be weary, sometimes taking the exit sooner is better than risking it all for more items and evidence. You must remain under constant vigilance of any danger, using careful planning and stealth to avoid it, or stamina when all else fails.
