You are a field doctor's assistant who was heading to a distant village to help local peasants. Someone attacked your stagecoach and you wake up in a mass grave, being the only survivor. The player fights against monsters and other evil spirits in various biomes of the cursed forest, and the only safe place is the village, where he can complete tasks, recuperate or replenish supplies. In each location the player will meet with the guardian of this zone - the boss, who is the iconic character...

From my study in Amsterdam, I was summoned east by a letter from my old friend Jonathan. His words spoke of disappearances, of shallow graves filled with the nameless, and of a creature that walks between worlds.
My path was set for a remote village in the Carpathian Mountains - yet before I could reach it, the night rose against me. My stagecoach was overturned, my companions slaughtered, and I awoke alone in the Knight's lodge, the air thick with the smell of blood and damp earth. The trail leads into the Hoia Baciu Forest - a place whispered of in superstition, where the living and the dead walk side by side.
Redemption of the Damned blends tense, deliberate combat with methodical investigation, set across hand-crafted locations. From the haunted forest to the cursed village, from abandoned chapels to nightmarish fortresses reached only by occult gates, each step draws me closer to Dracula’s generals - and the truths they guard.
I am no superhuman hero. Ammunition is scarce, wounds slow the body, and the mind can falter in the face of unspeakable horrors. In this land, every decision carries weight… and the darkness is always watching.
Track Dracula’s generals by examining corpses, analysing wounds, and piecing together the clues others would overlook.
Salvage and forge weapons, ammunition, and tools from the remnants of a dying land - from hand-built pistols and silver-shot cartridges to holy relics and improvised stakes.
The environment itself is a labyrinth of secrets. Study symbols, decode writings, and connect fragments of knowledge to reveal the path ahead.
Carefully study your enemy, prepare thoroughly and choose the appropriate way to kill. Melee combat, traditional and unique firearms, and, of course, specific ways of killing are available to you.
Every shot counts. Learn each creature’s behaviour and weaknesses - be it silver, stake, flame, or relic - and strike with precision. But be careful as enemies learn and adapt to your combat style also!
Dracula’s generals are not mere monsters, but ancient minds honed by centuries of cruelty. To face them unprepared is to court death; to defeat them is to cut deeper into the Count’s dark dominion.
Encounter characters and creatures steeped in the lore of Dracula and Slavic superstition, each encounter revealing another shadow in the grand design.
