Ironweld is a 2D side-scrolling action RPG where every encounter feels like PvP. Survive opponents that use the same moves and parts as you. They chase, punish, launch, and pressure you back. Repair and rebuild your squad between stages as you push deeper. Lose them all and it's over.
A 2D side-scrolling action RPG where every encounter feels like PvP.
You're an action-figure robot, thrown through a portal into a world built on iron and held together by force. Climb out of the scrapyard, cross the desert, and rebuild a ruined camp into your base.
From there, venture into the wastes, fight through dangerous encounters, and gather the iron needed to repair a broken world. Return to camp to repair, upgrade, and prepare your squad for the next push. Damage carries forward. Iron is limited. Bad fights matter.
Combat is fast, aggressive, and built around enemies that fight for control.
They chase you down, punish openings, launch you into the air, interrupt sloppy attacks, and pressure you back when you try to take control. Block, dodge, counter, recover, and strike before the momentum turns against you.
Fights can be quick clashes during exploration, intense duels, outnumbered fights, or squad battles. Every mistake can cost you iron when you return to camp.
As your power rises, combat escalates. Hits land harder, attacks get louder, effects intensify, and controlled fights can erupt into screen-shaking mechanical chaos.
Enemies are not fixed routines with one trick to memorize. They can pressure you from the ground, chase you into the air, punish a bad attack, back off, change rhythm, or become more aggressive when damaged.
That pressure comes from the same moves and parts your robots use. The same combat rules that let you launch, counter, dash, block, and attack can be turned against you.
You are not just clearing monsters. You are reading opponents, reacting to what they do, and fighting to take control back.
Iron is your only currency.
Between stages, return to camp to repair damaged robots, buy new moves, equip new parts, unlock stages, and increase how much your squad can carry into battle.
If every robot falls, the push ends. Survival is not guaranteed, and your squad is your lifeline.
Your squad can be built around different combat styles.
Build for long combos and stylish air control. Build for timed counters and quick reactions. Build around armor, lifesteal, heavy hits, ability rotations, or raw pressure.
Swap in anime-inspired attacks like rising launchers, meteor kicks, and super beams. Equip parts that change how blocking, dashing, attacking, and surviving work. Replace a block with a parry. Trade a dash for a roll.
Amplify the effects, tune the impact, paint your robots, and give them names before sending them back into the fight.
