Hollow Home is an isometric narrative RPG about the russian invasion of Ukraine, told from the perspective of a teenager trapped inside an occupied city. Learn survival skills, build relationships and face tough choices as each passing day brings new tragedies and destruction to your childhood home.
Hollow Home is a narrative survival RPG set in a city under occupation. You are Maksym - 14 years old, alone and trying to survive. His father is already at the front. His mother is away, unreachable.
Maksym's journey begins on the last normal day he will remember, 24 hours before the invasion. The city is still whole. When he wakes up the next morning, everything has changed.
Three districts to explore, each changing a little more with each passing day. Buildings are shelled. Streets are cut off. Those you met on day one may not be there on day three.
Deep dialogue, branching questlines, and relationships built under pressure. As the days pass, you cannot be everywhere. You cannot help everyone. With no other option, you'll make choices and learn to live with the consequences.
Maksym learns the skills and abilities he needs to survive by interacting with those around him - through conversations and quest completion. Cooking. Crafting. Scavenging. First aid. What you choose to learn one day may save someone days later.
In Hollow Home, there are no weapons, no battles, no combat. Instead, Maksym faces impossible choices and challenges no teenager should face. The weight of a life dismantled, the impact of war on those living in it and the moral cost of every small choice.
Hollow Home is drawn from real lived experience. Developed by Ukraine-based studio Twigames, the game draws on specific real events from the russian invasion of Ukraine. The characters are fictional. The city and what happens to it are not.
