A Game about Freedom (and Physics)

In this single-player space freelancer adventure, you are in the cockpit of a small rocket. Physics is the foundation of everything you do.

• Feel the Gravity: Through somaesthetic gameplay, you feel the direct impact of your cargo. Your rocket handles differently whether you're hauling light microchips or heavy wheels of moon-cheese.
• Newtonian Movement: Master inertia and slingshot maneuvers. It's easy to learn but hard to master – just like learning to ride a bike for the first time.
• A Living Economy: Trade everything from Earth’s water to Moon fuel to upgrade your ship.
• Clean up your mess: Many generations of humans have left the Earth a huge dump. Do what you can, to prove that humans are ready to join the ranks of interplanetary species: Cybernetic rodents, cows with parasitic milking automatons, dolphins in exosuits and monkeys with very large hats.

Find your Resonance

Humanity has been made redundant by AI and forced to retreat to caves and secure domes on Earth. But you’ve had enough of video games and hard labor – you want to be a part of the real world.

On your journey, you will meet:

• Olli: Your faithful Pocketpal, guiding you through the difficult art of rocket flight.
• Bilby from Mercury: A disillusioned cybernetic bilby seeking help for an industrial revival.
• Arne de la Lune: A cow whose milk literally fuels the colonies.
• Captain Croissant: A Martian monkey with a very large hat and an even larger appetite for piracy.

Face challenges

• Navigate a simulated model of rocket physics, in 2.5D top-down simple controls.
• Explore a dynamic marketplace, exploit busts and booms or trade for stability.
• Face aggressive enemies and fight in close-quarter Newtonian combat.

Why Early Access?

Gravity Break is a passion project echoing classics like Escape Velocity (1996), but with modern physics and speed, and a blend of absurdist hitchhiking species of critters. By supporting the game now, you help shape a universe where we learn to understand interplanetary economics and physics through intuition and curiosity.

State of the game (June 2026)

• Smooth, dynamic rocket physics, combat and orbital gameplay
• Interactive planetary economies across Mercury, Venus, Mars and several stations
• Basic infrastructure for trade, encounters and planetary orbital environments- Simulated Lagrange points containing stations and encounters- Infinite upgrades to 6 systems (weapons, rockets, survival)- Dynamic production and consumption- Gameplay events on trade actions- Changes to individual planetary economy
• Dynamic music indicate distance to planets and points of interest.
• Combat and narrative gameplay with steeply increasing difficulty. How difficult is too difficult?

Roadmap:

• 2026: Visual upgrades, more encounters, narrative, and music.
• 2027: Expanded trade and exploration of Mercury, Venus and all the interesting Lagrange points.
