Fjellward is a pixelart 2D sandbox game set in a procedurally generated world. The game is centered around exploration and mining.
Fjellward is set in a procedurally generated 2D world, created individually for each player. Dig tunnels, build stairs, and explore your surroundings to discover hidden places full of treasures.
You’ll gather resources and meet villagers who will help you rebuild your town. Every time you restore a part of the town, your character unlocks new tools.
Every pixel in the world is treated individually by the engine. It can be liquid, gaseous, sandy, or solid. The player can freely alter most areas. There are only a few places that contain indestructible pixels.
In Fjellward, you don't gather wood, iron or dirt. You only gather pixels. When you cut down a tree, you get brown and green pixels. Dig in the desert, and you'll mainly collect yellow pixels. What you see on the screen is the resource you get. You need these pixels to repair your town and unlock new tools.
You can obtain pixels through mining, farming or by building machines that process pixels. There are also creatures in the world that can help you collect pixels.
A note on color blindness: If you have trouble distinguishing the colors in the image above, you can still play the game. However, you’ll have to rely more on trial and error.
