Denari is a narrative action game about a boy with telekinetic powers who must fight to save his people from the invasion of an empire. Featuring toon-style art by Ninja Kiwi veteran Tamihana Greaves and a powerful soundtrack from award-winning composer David Mason.
On top of tight hack and slash gameplay, players harness the power of the goddess Qira. As a lone warrior against an army, telekinetic powers are crucial to gaining an advantage.
Redirect - Ranged attacks can be caught and redirected. Some projectiles cause AOE damage upon redirected hit.
Telekinetic Blast - A powerful blast that can knock enemies away from the player and even into one another.
Hack and Slash - Snappy attacks, quick dashes, precise counters, and unique executions per enemy.
The player character, Taiu, is a young orphan who grew up in Port Nali, a peaceful fishing village. He dreams of becoming one of Qira's Apostles, a group of elite warrior monks dedicated to the service of the goddess Qira and her people.
Taiu's teacher, Teach, is a former apostle whose obsession with mastery has led him to seek a disciple to train in combat. As Taiu's master, Teach pushes his student to the limits and beyond.
Set in the land of Qira, the game takes players through beautiful toon-style environments from sunny Port Nali to forests beside it, to the bustling riverside capital city of Madea.
Taiu's mysterious powers are bestowed upon him during a trip to a world of spirits, whose memories give it form. As his powers grow, he'll walk between worlds to receive the spirits' wisdom.
