Dark Symphony is a music-based single-player horror game involving a madman's obsession with cult classic "Lincolnshire Posy." Find all six records lost during the man's drunken slumber, or risk the murder of your wife. Exit the cabin if you dare.
In the dead of night, amidst the ominous whispers of the forest, a nightmare awakens. Welcome to Dark Symphony, a spine-chilling first-person horror experience that plunges you into a haunting tale of obsession, madness, and survival.
You are John, a man who wakes from a restless sleep beside his wife in your secluded cabin deep in the woods. Your peaceful night is shattered by the eerie mumblings of an unnamed man outside, searching desperately for his lost vinyl records. He scattered these six records in his drunken stupor, each containing a movement from Percy Grainger's "Lincolnshire Posy," throughout the forest clearing. The man, driven to the brink of madness by his obsession with this music, will stop at nothing to retrieve them.
The stakes are terrifyingly high. The strange man is temporarily distracted as the records play, giving you precious moments to locate and place the remaining records on one of the six gramophones scattered around the clearing. But beware: if he catches you, he will chase you down and end your life. Should the current gramophone finish playing before you find the next record, the man will storm into your cabin and kill your sleeping wife, ending your desperate quest in horror and failure.
Survival is just the beginning.
Can you unravel the mystery of the strange man and his cursed records? Will you save your wife and escape the forest alive? The gramophones are waiting, and the night is closing in. Prepare yourself for a journey into darkness, where every decision could be your last.
